WJC member Blaze Ardman is an interspiritual minister deeply rooted in Judaism. She is a graduate of One Spirit Interfaith Seminary. She is a certified instructor in Japanese Psychology (Morita/action therapy with roots in Zen) and (Naikan/self-reflection therapy with roots in Jodo Shinshu Buddhism). Her work is also informed by Parker Palmer (author of A Hidden Wholeness); Francis Weller (author of The Wild Edge of Sorrow); and Infinity Healing.
Blaze began her listening practice and training in the early 90s with Cheri Huber, founder of the Zen Monastery Peace Center in California. She has also trained with Leah Green, founder of the Compassionate Listening Project; with Cherie Brown, founder of the National Coalition Building Institute; and others.
Blaze has facilitated more than a dozen Circles of Courage, day-long grief retreats, offering grieving in community with others. She has a private spiritual counseling practice that draws on many influences to offer a non-judgmental heart, and a discerning ear. She encourages clients to listen for the still small voice, their inner teacher, and own soul’s wisdom.
