8 Nights of Chanukah with Your WJC Community!

Social distancing will not stop us from enjoying Chanukah together as a community!

In addition to our nightly lighting at 6:30pm ET, we have some special events planned:

 

Thursday, December 10

1:00pm–2:00pm: Rabbi Jonathan will offer teachings about Chanukah during his weekly class. Listen to replay HERE.

Friday, December 11

3:00pm–4:00pm: Online Latke Making Workshop with Diane Colello
Log in to learn how to make latkes entirely from scratch with our very own Diane Colello. The recipe will be distributed soon so that you may have all ingredients ready for the class.

7:30pm: Our Kabbalat Shabbat service.

Saturday, December 12

10:00am: Shabbat morning service

5:00pm: An Outdoor IN-PERSON Havdalah ceremony and menorah lighting (Weather permitting). Join Rabbi Jonathan in the WJC parking lot. Great for all ages – bring your menorah and bundle up!

6:30pm: Join us for candle lighting.

Sunday, December 13

10:00am: Guided “Chanukah Hike” with Nathan Brenowitz. The hike will be on the gently rolling trail around the WJC property and will last approximately 60-75 minutes.
Hikes will be limited to 10 people (plus hike leader). We will be socially distanced, masked as appropriate. We recommend warm clothes and sturdy trail sneakers/hiking boots
Hikes are open to any and all WJC congregants! An experienced hiker or newbie can both enjoy!

3:00-5:00pm: WJC Family School Online Make-Your-Own-Menorah Workshop and Chanukah Celebration. Advance registration required. Click here to register.

6:30pm: Join us for candle lighting
