As we approach this time of change in our congregation we invite you to contribute your memories to the Rabbi Jonathan Tribute Book, a community project that expresses our appreciation for Rabbi Jonathan’s unique and powerful leadership over the course of our history and reflects how he has touched our lives. Like our cookbook, the Rabbi Jonathan Tribute Book will be a bound volume and available for purchase.
We invite you to submit short pieces of writing and photographs that capture ways in which Rabbi Jonathan has touched you and your family. These may include but are not limited to:
- Special moments or experiences for you and your family: milestones, transitions, special events, anecdotes
- Teachings of Rabbi Jonathan that have resonated with you
- Aspects of Rabbi Jonathan’s practice that have touched you
Writing may be prose or poetry, as brief as a sentence or up to 150 words.
Photographs (limit 3 ~ not all may be used) must be jpegs and titled (e.g., Cornelia Seckel Grandma Fox and Cousin Sophie, Rosh Hashanah 1996). Make sure your name is at the beginning of the title.
Please email your writing and photographs to: wjctributebook@gmail.com.
Be sure to include your name, email address, and phone number.
Your questions are welcome.
The deadline is January 19, 2022.
We look forward to your participation in creating this book to honor Rabbi Jonathan.
