Community Tu B’Shvat Seder

All are welcome to join us online as we celebrate Tu B’Shvat, the New Year for Trees. We follow the Kabbalistic tradition of holding aTu B’Shvat seder, with readings and songs, and sampling many different edible gifts of our caregivers the trees.

If you want to fully participate, set yourself up with fruits and nuts, and red and white wine or grape juice. We will be blessing these items and tasting and sipping them. There are 3 categories of fruits and nuts to prepare:

  • edible inside and inedible outside, such as any nut, citrus, pomegranate, banana, etc.
  • edible outside but inedible core, such as dates, olives, carob pods, apricots, plums, etc.
  • edible throughout, such as figs, berries, grapes, etc.
