Rabbi Jonathan offered this sermon at Rosh Hashanah services at the Woodstock Jewish Congregation.
Joint letter signed by over 600 multiracial Jewish denominations, organizations, and synagogues, including WJC.
We will gather, in person and online, for introspection and for setting our direction for the New Year.
This year, instead of a printed book, we will have a slideshow on Yom Kippur during the Yizkor service.
Kol Nidre is Sunday evening and we look forward to sharing the holy day with you online! Our theme this year is RESILIENCE!
It is Elul, the month of reflection and preparation for Rosh Hashanah. We will merge the teachings of Judaism with the wisdom of our own hearts as we realign with our clearest and best selves.
Offerings will be different every day and will include shofar blowing. We also offer an archive of past teachings.
We miss our monthly “First Friday” pot luck Shabbat dinners, so we are trying something new so that we can be together virtually for a Shabbat meal.
We will watch the dusk fall and wait for 3 stars to emerge. Then Rabbi Jonathan will lead us in a beautiful outdoor havdalah ceremony. RSVP Required
